Bloom Credit Named a Finalist in The Money Awards 2026 for Banking Infrastructure
Financial data infrastructure company named a Money20/20 finalist in Banking / Infrastructure for the second consecutive year
CHICAGO (September 28, 2026) Bloom Credit, a financial data infrastructure company, today announced it has been named a finalist in Money20/20’s The Money Awards 2026. The company earned a spot in the Banking / Infrastructure category. This marks Bloom Credit’s second consecutive year as a finalist in the category.
The Money Awards recognize products, companies, and ideas that set standards across fintech. A jury selected this year’s finalists. Winners will be announced October 18, 2026, during Sunday Night Live at Money20/20 USA in Las Vegas.
“Being named a finalist two years in a row tells us the industry sees what our clients see,” said Christian Widhalm, CEO of Bloom Credit. “Banks and credit unions need infrastructure that lets them serve more consumers with confidence. Consumer-permissioned data gives them a clearer view of the people they serve. It gives those consumers a fair path into the credit system.”
Infrastructure That Expands Credit Access
About 7 million Americans are credit invisible, and about 25 million more are unscored, according to the CFPB. Many of these consumers pay rent, utilities, and Telecom bills on time. Those payments rarely appear in their credit files.
Bloom Credit helps banks and credit unions close that gap. Its API platform provides access to validated financial data and reporting in real time. Bloom+ lets account holders share rent, utility, and Telecom payment history through consumer-permissioned data. Bloom Credit then reports positive payment history to TransUnion and Equifax.
